The Extremely Robust Variant
The skeye.pad RGD combines the mobile platform of the successful skeye.pad series with an extremely robust casing, that provides IP65 protection so that it easily copes with highest loads. It is compliant to MIL-STD 810F for ruggedness and will still operate after a fall from up to 1,22 m. Resistant to rain, fog and extreme temperatures, the skeye.pad RGD will perform in the most abusive and adverse conditions.
The display ensures for an optimal readability even under daylight conditions or in direct sunlight. It can be additionally equipped with a transparent and robust cover. For an even more flexible operation the skeye.pad features different fastening options for hand and shoulder straps meeting all ergonomic requirements. Thus, the device can be carried and operated in nearly any situation.
The Intel XScale platform supporting Windows CE 5.0 is extremely energy efficient and powerful. Due to its replaceable battery, the skeye.pad RGD handles extended periods of use without problems. The device can also be equipped for data acquisition via laser scanner or imager. Wireless communication with central systems as well as the control of peripheral devices are realised via GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA, WLAN and Bluetooth. Using the interfaces RS 232, USB device and USB host the skeye.pad RGD can communicate with further accessories. To ensure for highest flexibility, the interfaces can be found at the car cradle and at the skeye.pad RGD itself.
